"[This is a sponsored review. ] Some might think the golf sweater may have lost its way in the world of quarter-zips and hoodies. This mock-neck sweater is proof that a functional staple is here to stay as a modern classic. The clean lines and contrast of the pair of stripes down each sleeve give it a sharp, sporty touch reminiscent of racing stripes (perhaps a statement to show ‘em you mean business with your pace of play-all in fun of course!) The subtle ribbing on either side assures a comfortable fit that’s close but not restrictive, so you can swing away on the course and feel cozy off of it, as it’s light enough for a chilly spring morning and super soft. I admit I’ve historically shied away from white as a clothing color choice, only because I’m one of those people who can’t go anywhere without a good chance of wearing my food or drink, regardless of how careful I try to be. But the brilliant white is so stunning and crisp that it could convince me to take more chances on light-colored clothing-if I can only keep it as bright! And while it can go with anything, dare I say it could really pop with white bottoms (for fans of the color column look) as well as navy and neutral colors (khaki, olive). As beautiful as this sweater is, it does come with a couple of caveats (thus knocking off a star): 1) it’s a little sheer so you may want to consider wearing something underneath if you’re more comfortable doing so. In that case I might suggest sizing up (your mileage may vary). And 2) if you are more on the petite side or have shorter arms, the sleeves may be a little long. Luckily they have a cool little split at the cuffs so you can push them up or turn them. (And for those looking for the iconic Callaway logo, the white embroidered chevron sits on the right cuff-OK, that was 3 things. ) Overall, it’s a welcome alternative to those q-zips and hoodies in my wardrobe, and I look forward to pulling this out on a cool day the next time I’m out there 3-putting my way to the 19th hole-as long as I don’t end up wearing my wine!"
